Didn't want this to get lost in the shuffle of the news cycle that accompanies a new 5-year NASA plan...

A new computer model of the Alpha Centauri system shows that, under certain conditions (specific range of gas densities and star orientations), Earth-like planets could form in the Alpha Centauri system, specifically around Alpha Centauri B.

I can't find the original article on either the University of Florida site, arXiv, or the Astrophysics Journal site, but here is the link from Space.com.
