Interesting... I'll have to keep an eye on that. Any improvements in Hall effect thrusters could certainly be useful for moving spacecraft around the solar system, or possibly beyond. Personally, I think the tests on VASIMR will prove more fruitful, but it doesn't hurt to have multiple paths to success.

I think that any ship is going to have to have multiple methods of propulsion... we do not want to get into the situation where we are going too fast to stop... of course in that instance time is on our side... if we choose the slower option of arrival
